Professor Ibrahim Moustafa and I are jointly submitting for TWO RESEARCH GRANTS for new investigations (explained below). One of the key terms of the grant submission application is that the projects must be 50% funded by a private or public entity— and this is where CBP Non-Profit comes in. CBP Non-Profit needs to fund approximately $35,000 to $45,000 per project then the grant will cover the remaining balance ($35-$45K per project). This means that CBP Non-Profit needs to raise $90,000.00 by December 31st, 2023 specifically for these two projects. So to be clear, if you’ve previously donated to CBP Non-Profit prior to December, 2023, those funds have been allocated to other ongoing projects so this current fund-raising is specifically and exclusively for these two new projects.

These two new planned projects are incredible new randomized control trials with 6-month follow-ups and a cross-over design for the control group into the treatment group after the initial 6-month follow up. Cross over trials are incredibly important and valuable as they determine if the control group will experience the same ‘potential-hypothesized’ benefits that the corrective care treatment group hopefully achieves. This is the first time our research team has undertaken this next step in our research process for corrective care outcomes. Further, the completed data for the 2 projects will likely produce at least 3- separate publications each, for a total of 6-possible publications from this original data. Thus, for $90K we actually are funding 6 projects for approximately $15K each which is extremely efficient.

The title of the two projects preliminarily are:

1. “Does Restoration of Sagittal Cervical Alignment Improve Cerebral Oxygenation, Primary Sensory and Motor Cortical Excitability Among Collegiate Athletes: A 6-Month Follow-up Randomized Controlled Cross Over Study”?
2. “Exploring Heart rate Variability, EEG Pattern, and Corticomuscular Coherence Following Cervical Sagittal Alignment Restoration: A Randomized Controlled Trial Investigation”.

And the entire process will take at least 2-years for each project to fully complete from Grant submission to hopeful approval to start and completion of the trial. Thus, what I’m asking you all for -for Christmas- December 2023 is to consider donating to CBP Non-Profit Inc. this month with the goal of raising $90K.
